Kobo Emerging Writer Prize Shortlist Announcement

Congratulations to Plum Johnson and Zarqa Nawaz for their nominations for the first Kobo Emerging Writer Prize. Both were nominated in the Non-Fiction category, which is judged by the Charles Taylor Prize–shortlisted author Charlotte Gray.

The Kobo Emerging Writer Prize is in its inaugural year and will be awarded to three debut tiles, one each in the Non-Fiction, Fiction, and Mystery categories. Each author will win $10,000 and will get mentorship and support in promoting their work. The winners will be announced on July 7th.
