Salmon SistersWe are truly proud to announce that Claire Neaton & Emma Teal Laukitis — sisters, commercial fisherman, business partners and co-founders of The Salmon Sisters, are now also co-authors of a cookery and lifestyle book coming ashore in spring 2020 from Sasquatch Books.

Their book will feature original recipes, showcase Emma’s unique illustrations, and include stories about the sisters’ current work as commercial fisherman & their early lives growing up on a remote homestead on the edge of Alaska’s Isanotski Strait (the US mainland’s westernmost tip), with contributions from Alaskan photographer Scott Dickerson and food & nature photographer Brian Grobleski.

The Salmon Sisters’ abiding appreciation for their unique upbringing in the Aleutian Islands & their work on their family’s commercial fishing boat in the Bering Sea, combined with Sasquatch’s mission to work with the most gifted writers, chefs, naturalists, artists, and thought leaders in the Pacific Northwest make this publishing partnership a natural fit.

Nice catch, Sasquatch! And congratulations Emma and Claire! It’s an honor to navigate this exciting project with you.
