TellItTotheWorldCovEliott Behar’s TELL IT TO THE WORLD follows the investigation by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, into an event of ethnic cleansing in Kosovo, in which, on April 5, 1999, local police in Serbia found a truck floating in the Danube River, which was filled with human bodies. This award succeeds the Writers’ Trust Nonfiction Prize, which was established in 1997. Finalists receive $5,000 and the winner $60,000.
