Heidi von Palleske


Heidi von Palleske is a well-known Canadian actress, and writer. Her film acting career began with David Cronenberg’s iconoclastic film DEAD RINGERS where she starred opposite Jeremy Irons. Heidi went on to work with some of the most distinguished artists in the film industry including actors Antonio Banderas, Malcolm McDowell, John Leguizamo, Michelle Williams, Goldie Hawn and Bruce Willis, and directors Atom Egoyan and George A. Romero.

Her TV series include Life with Derek, Street Legal and Starhunter, which is currently playing.

As a writer, Heidi has written scripts for film and TV. Her publication credits include They Don’t Run Red Trains Anymore, which won the H.R. Percy Novel Prize for Best Novel in Eastern Canada, Erato, a collection of sonnets, and numerous publications in anthologies and magazines. She is currently working on a series of titles for middle-grade readers, to be announced.

Heidi is the mother to one daughter, godmother to five god-children and a favourite aunt to a dozen nieces and nephews. She divides her time between Toronto and a house on the St. Lawrence River.
