K.C. Hayes grew up along the Ohio River in Pennsylvania and now lives near the Clark Fork River in Montana. He is a former lounge-band guitarist, a former copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather, a former small ad agency owner, the inventor of a patented cardboard kid’s playhouse, and the writer and designer of many humorous (or so he thought) greeting cards published by a division of American Greetings.
These days K.C. thinks up ideas for interactive children’s books. His first effort will be published by Chronicle Books in 2020. He is working on a number of new books written and engineered to entice kids into reading.
