We are incredibly proud to announce that the American Libraries Association has shortlisted A Greater Goal: The Epic Battle for Equal Pay in Women’s Soccer—and Beyond by Elizabeth Rusch for the YALSA 2025 Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults Award. This prestigious award honors the best nonfiction book published this year for readers 12-18, highlighting excellence in writing, research, presentation, and readability.
Liz’s book brilliantly chronicles how members of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team fought to receive fair treatment and equal pay despite the intense pushback they received from the governing body of soccer in the United States. It is published by Greenwillow/HarperCollins.
Liz is proudly represented by Fiona Kenshole.
Congratulations, Liz!
