We are thrilled to announce that writer, producer and creative mind behind the popular Canadian-history-themed @canada.gov.ca Instagram account, John Batt’s THE GREAT CANADIAN BOOK OF TRIVIA, a collection of extraordinarily unremarkable and undeniable facets of Canadian life and peculiar history, to Julia McDowell at HarperCollins Canada, for publication in spring 2026, by Samantha Haywood and Rob Firing at Transatlantic Literary Agency (World).
John Batt was born and raised in Fredericton and now lives in the Laurentians area of Quebec. He is the administrator behind the popular Canadian history-themed Instagram account @canada.gov.ca. When Batt is not working in post-secondary education, he is fine-tuning his live show appearing all across the country.
