Huge congratulations to Amber Keyser, whose debut YA novel THE WAY BACK FROM BROKEN has sold world rights to Andrew Karre of Lerner Books’s Carolrhoda Labs in a two book deal.
The novel follows two adolescents, 15 and 10 years old, who both had infant siblings die. The two children are taken into the Canadian wilderness by one of their mothers where they find disasters, the publisher said, “in addition to the fragile hope and terrible beauty that mark the way back from broken.” Agent Fiona Kenshole at Transatlantic Agency brokered the deal for Keyser. The second book in the deal is a currently untitled YA novel. Amber’s blog post about it is here: http://amberjkeyser.com/2014/
