Eliza Berkowitz at Sterling Children’s Books has acquired world rights to Invent-a-Pet by Vicky Fang (l.), illustrated by Tidawan Thaipinnarong. Pitched as Dear Zoo meets Ada Twist, Scientist, the STEM-based picture book introduces basic coding concepts as a girl programs a mysterious machine in a quest to develop the perfect pet. Publication is set for spring 2020; Rachael Stein will edit. Elizabeth Bennett represented the author.
