We’re excited to announce that we’re now accepting applications for our summer internship!
Transatlantic is offering a fully remote, three-month internship to candidates interested in the publishing industry and the workings of a mid-size literary agency. Interns will work closely with senior agents and will meet weekly for sessions on story theory, manuscript evaluation, editorial letters, pitch letters, contracts, sub rights, and the publishing job search. We are looking for interns who can commit 15-20 hours a week and who are available for virtual meetings during business hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The internship will run three months, from May 31st to August 20th. Interns will receive a monthly stipend. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, and will be flexible on hours and dates for the right candidate.
Preference will be given to applicants with:
- Strong writing and editorial skills
- Office experience and professionalism
- Proficiency with Google Suite and social media platforms
- Interest in pursuing a career in publishing
- Current reading in genres such as literary, thrillers/suspense, book club, speculative, historical, young adult, middle grade, picture book

For the writing sample, please write a paragraph or two evaluating a recently published book (2018 or later) in the genre of your interest.
