Congratulations to Samra Zafar, who for the second time, has been recognized as one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network!
The Toronto Star featured an article about Zafar winning this honor, who said, “(Courage) isn’t the absence of fear. It’s, ‘Yeah, I’m afraid, but I believe in this, so I’m going to do it anyway.'”…
For the second time, Zafar has been recognized as one of Canada’s 100 Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network. The author, speaker, and human rights advocate was named to the list in 2019 under the RBC Champions category. This year she won under the Women of Courage category.
This award is special for Zafar, who came to Canada as a teenaged bride and lived under the oppressive rule of her then-husband and his family.”
