This is Your Brain on Stereotypes & Me and Banksy by Tanya Lloyd Kyi Won the Nonfiction and Fiction Category for the 2021/22 Red Cedar Book Awards!
The Red Cedar Book Awards is British Columbia’s reader’s choice award, in which thousands of children between grades 4 and 7 from across BC read from nominated lists of fiction and non-fiction and vote for their favourites in April of each year.
THIS IS YOUR BRAIN ON STEREOTYPES by Tanya Lloyd Kyi (Kids Can Press), illustrated by Drew Shannon, has won the Nonfiction Category for the 2021/22 Red Cedar Book Awards while her ME AND BANKSY has won the Fiction Category! Tanya Lloyd Kyi writes both fiction and nonfiction on topics related to science, pop culture, social history — or a combination of the three. Her recent books include Under Pressure, Prince of Pot, and Mya’s Strategy to Save the World. Tanya lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, with her family.
