Lake Union Publishing’s Melissa Valentine has acquired World rights to María Alejandra Barrios Velez’s debut novel, THE WOMEN OF CAMINITO, about a woman who tries to save the family restaurant after her Abuela’s funeral, only to find her matriarch’s ghost has trouble letting go; torn between Barranquilla and New York City, and two great loves, she must grapple with the unbreakable bond that ancestors have with their own–even in the afterlife, for publication Spring 2024.
