Transatlantic is offering a fully remote, nine-week internship to candidates interested in pursuing a career in the publishing industry. Interns will work closely with senior agents and will meet weekly for sessions on working with authors, manuscript evaluation, editorial letters, pitch letters, contracts, sub rights, and the publishing job search. We are looking for interns who can commit 10 hours a week and who are available for virtual meetings during business hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The internship will run for nine weeks, from September 5th to November 3rd. Interns will receive an honorarium. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, and will be flexible on hours and dates for the right candidate.
Preference will be given to applicants with:
Strong writing and editorial skills
Office experience and professionalism
Proficiency with Google Suite and social media platforms
Interest in pursuing a career in publishing
Current reading in genres such as literary, thrillers/suspense, book club, speculative, historical, young adult, middle grade, picture book
