Call for Submissions:
President of the Transatlantic Agency and Literary Agent Samantha Haywood is sending out a call for submissions from fiction writers of upmarket book club fiction and literary fiction! And stay tuned for her nonfiction call to submissions coming soon.
Samantha is always looking for fresh perspectives in literature that surprises and has an urgency of voice. Strong stylists are always welcome. Samantha is especially interested in upmarket book club fiction which weaves strong elements of mystery, romance, suspense, or a mash-up of genre elements in an inventive and thought-provoking way.
Writers are encouraged to email querysamantha@transatlanticagency.com with a cover letter and a sample/excerpt of the book in question.
Submit a maximum of 20 pages, and embed the sample/excerpt into the email after the cover letter, as well as an author bio/publishing history and a synopsis. Please make a note if other agents are also considering the project, and do not submit to Samantha if you have already submitted to another Transatlantic Agent.
Important reminder: Due to the volume of submissions received, replies will be sent for only those submissions being actively considered.
