Cary Fagan’s satirical and surprising collection of novellas, A FAST HORSE NEVER BRINGS GOOD NEWS, in which we meet a selectively conversational dog and cat, a begrudging euphonium player and others, and his novel STILL THE WORLD, exploring the relationship between a reunited widower and his grandson, have been acquired in a nice two book deal to Jay Millar and Hazel Millar at Book*hug Press, for publication 2025 and TBD respectively, by Samantha Haywood at Transatlantic Literary Agency (world)!
Cary Fagan is the author of six novels and four story collections for adults, as well as many award-winning books for children. His books include THE STUDENT (finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award and the Toronto Book Prize), A BIRD’S EYE (finalist for the Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize), and the story collection MY LIFE AMONG THE APES (longlisted for the Giller Prize). Cary was born and raised in Toronto, where he lives with his family.
Congratulations Cary!
