Transatlantic is beyond excited to announce that world rights to award-winning author and storyteller Rukhsana Khan’s RABIA’S EID, illustrated by Debby Rahmalia, has been acquired by Heidi Kilgras at Random House Children’s Books for the Step Into Reading series!
RABIA’S EID tells a story on Eid-al-fitr—the last day of Ramadan, which means it is the last day for Rabia to fast with the rest of her family, something she has never done before.
Publication is scheduled for the winter of 2024!

Rukhsana Khan is an award-winning author and storyteller with over thirteen titles that range from children’s picture books to young adult novels. Her books have been published in numerous countries and acquired dozens of awards and commendations. Her title, Big Red Lollipop, was chosen by the New York Public Library as one of the hundred greatest children’s books in the last hundred years. She lives in Toronto, Canada, with her husband and family.
