Sandy Yang’s fiction has appeared in Santa Monica Review, Salt Hill Journal, Juked, South Dakota Review and elsewhere. Her story collection was named a semi-finalist for the Iowa Short Fiction Award, and she is the recipient of a Tennessee Williams Scholarship to the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. She holds an MFA in fiction from the University of Arizona.
Sandy Yang’s debut upmarket novel, INSIDE JOKE, is about one young woman’s hunger for connection outside of a fractured family, a story that bites as much as it laughs at the complexity of being an Asian woman in standup comedy. It will be on offer soon.
