We are thrilled to announce that world rights to Lorna Schultz Nicholson’s THE GIRL WHO LOVED POUTINE has been acquired by Barb McNally at Sleeping Bear Press, scheduled for the spring of 2024!

THE GIRL WHO LOVED POUTINE is about a girl celebrating her birthday with her father and family members from across Canada who each bring their regions’ unique twists to her favorite dish. Rachel Qiuqi will illustrate.

Amy Tompkins at Transatlantic Agency represented the author, and Natalie Lakosil at Looking Glass Literary & Media represented the illustrator.

Lorna Schultz Nicholson is the author of 50 books for young people, including the recent picture book Good Morning Sunshine!: The Joey Moss Story, and the Pukster series. She is also the author of the recent novels, When You Least Expect It and Taking the Ice. A frequent presenter in schools, Lorna also speaks at writing workshops and conferences. She lives in Edmonton with her husband, and the quirky dog she rescued from Mexico.

Congratulations Lorna!
