Yon H. Lee is a Chinese-Malaysian artist currently based in Berkeley, California. Since graduating from California Institute of the Arts in 2015 from the film and video program, he’s worked as a storyboard artist in the animation industry on projects for Sony Pictures Animation, Blue Sky Studios, and Pixar. Outside of work, he draws comics and makes his own films inspired by his life and those around him. He is drawn to stories that explore duality, memory, connection, language and identity. Yon has a special love for slice-of-life stories with a speck of surrealism. Whenever he’s not drawing, he loves talking to his dog Oolong in a made-up language that offends her intelligence.
