We are thrilled to announce that Mora Couch at Holiday House has acquired rights to KAYA OF THE OCEAN by debut author Gloria Huang, a middle-grade contemporary fantasy novel about thirteen-year-old Kaya who must set aside her lifelong struggles with anxiety and hydrophobia when she learns she’s the last daughter in a broken line of descendants from an ancient Chinese water goddess.
Publication is planned for Spring 2025; Amanda Orozco and Lisa Rambert on behalf of Laura Cameron sold world rights.
