Screenwriter Patrick Tarr’s THE GUEST CHILDREN, a haunting and insidiously creepy ghost story with horror accents set in 1945 in which an impoverished private investigator is tasked with tracking down two “guest children” who were evacuated out of London  during WWII but have since gone missing at a remote Canadian resort that isn’t all what it seems, to Holly Ingraham at Crooked Lane Books, by Samantha Haywood at Transatlantic Agency for publication in August 2025 (World English excl. Patrick Tarr’s first novel comes after a long and varied career in the film and television industry. He won a Writers Guild of Canada award for his first produced script before gathering a decade of experience as a staff writer, creative producer, and showrunner. For his work as head writer and executive producer on the international hit series Cardinal, Patrick was awarded 2021 Canadian Screen Awards for Best Writing in a Dramatic Series and Best Dramatic Series. A graduate of the Canadian Film Centre, he returned as Executive Producer in Residence for the 2022 Prime Time TV program. He lives in Toronto with his family.
