Sara Greenfield was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, where she currently lives with her husband and two children. Since 2016, Sara has worked as a practicing lawyer in the field of Aboriginal law, where she has committed herself to defending the principles of equity and justice for all Indigenous people as both an ally and an advocate.
A lot of progress has been made in recent years in bringing awareness to the need for reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples. However, it became clear to Sara while working with a number of eager educators and parents that there simply were not enough resources to support them in engaging in these important conversations with the young people in their lives.
Coming from a community marred by intolerance and genocide, and as a young mom herself who has always loved to write, Sara is dedicated to closing this gap by creating children’s books that address often unfamiliar or difficult concepts and realities in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
She would also like to get a puppy. Soon.
Sara is represented by Lisa Rambert.
Welcome Sara!
