Transatlantic Agency is proud to announce that Renee Alcantara has been appointed Literary Assistant to Amanda Orozco!
Before becoming an assistant to Amanda Orozco in 2025, Renee Alcantara (she/her) studied creative nonfiction at the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. Inspired by the crucial work of the writers she studied with and under, Renee is committed to uplifting Filipino, AAPI, and other marginalized voices in publishing.
She has previously interned at Sanford J. Greenburger Associates and The Friedrich Agency. Aside from training in agenting, she has also accumulated experience in reading for literary scouts and magazines. In her spare time, she’s a compulsive horror lover and adores books that deal in the disquieting and the absurd. She is a 2024 LA Review of Books Publishing Workshop fellow.
