
Transatlantic Agency is delighted to welcome Leonarda Carranza, represented by Transatlantic agent Rachel Letofsky. We’re excited to support their work and be part of this next stage in their creative journey.
Leonarda Carranza was born in San Salvador and is currently based in Treaty 19, Brampton, Ont. Her debut picture book, Abuelita and Me/Abuelita y yo, won the International Latino Book Award, was a Kirkus Best Book of the year and was nominated for a Bruce Spruce. She co-edited the anthology, Tongues: On Longing and Belonging Through Language. Her other children’s books include Fighting Words, illustrated by Erika Rodriguez Medina and The Friendship Blanket out July 1, 2025. Carranza holds a PhD from the University of Toronto.
