Transatlantic Agency is delighted to welcome Wenzdae Anaïs, represented by Transatlantic agent Rachel Letofsky. We’re excited to support their work and be part of this next stage in their creative journey.
An award winning multi-media artist with diverse credits, Wenzdae has been creating art in various formats since childhood. She specializes in graphic design, original illustrations, Indigenous beadwork, and traditional hand-poke tattoos, all inspired by her Afro-Indigenous identity. A registered member of the Georgian Bay Métis Community, Wenzdae has spent years under the mentorship of community artists, storytellers and knowledge keepers. Her beadwork has been commissioned for television productions (Motherland: Fort Salem, Disney Network) and has been featured on multiple red carpets. In 2013, Wenzdae was the recipient of the 2013 James Bartleman Aboriginal Youth Creative Writing Award and continues to be published as part of anthologies and articles. An accomplished photographer, one of her iconic images was named amongst CBC’s Top Canadian Books Covers of 2017; another has been featured in publications from Oprah Magazine to The New York Times. Wenzdae is currently working on an illustrated children’s book under contract with Swift Water Books, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
Welcome, Wenzdae!
