Susan Pi at Rebel Goose Books has acquired author-illustrator Chris Paul Rainbows Farias’s debut picture book, Guinea Pigs Don’t Wear Pants. Colorful and quirky, Guinea Pigs Don’t Wear Pants highlights a universal human truth: who you are is beautiful and worthy of love. It is an empowering children’s picture book that celebrates individuality across the rainbow-hued spectrum.

Chris Paul Rainbows Farias is an award-winning creative strategist, storyteller, and popular TikToker with over 315,000 followers. They first went viral after asking a local bakery for “the gayest cake ever” to celebrate their marriage to husband Jared. Chris is the founder of Unicorn Rebellion, a creative branding agency, and shares personal stories online that regularly draw thousands of views. They frequently speak with primary-grade students and educators about creativity, identity, and joy. Based in Ontario, Chris lives with Jared and their beloved menagerie of animals, including 10 chickens, 12 parrots, 5 bunnies, 3 dogs, 1 guinea pig, and a tortoise named Rock Hudson. Chris was recently awarded a King Charles III Coronation Medal by the Hamilton YWCA for their advocacy and fundraising for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Guinea Pigs Don’t Wear Pants is their debut picture book.

Chris is represented by Amy Tompkins, who brokered the deal for English rights in North America. Guinea Pigs Don’t Wear Pants is scheduled for publication in the spring of 2026.
