Josh Fisher is an Emmy Award-winning creator, producer, author, and television executive with over 20 years of experience making successful content for young audiences. His debut picture book series, Critter City, co-authored by Heather Alexander, is forthcoming from Sourcebooks Xplore.
Under his I Josh Around shingle, Fisher has created, written, and developed original projects for Netflix, Disney and Peacock, and works with best-in-class animation studios to bring book properties and original content to kids and families around the world.
Previously, Fisher served as Senior Manager, Kids and Family at Netflix where he oversaw “Go, Dog, Go,” “Daniel Spellbound,” “Action Pack,” and the first original series consumer product strategy for “Super Monsters,” among many other shows for the streamer. Before joining Netflix, Fisher was Vice President, Creative Affairs for WildBrain/DHX where he developed “Mega Man,” “Strawberry Shortcake,” and several other projects.
Prior to WildBrain, Fisher served as Head of Development at Spin Master, where he was the original creator of “Rusty Rivets” (Nickelodeon); developed “Abby Hatcher Fuzzly Catcher” (Nick) “Little Charmers” (Nick) and “Tenkai Knights” (Cartoon Network); and was part of the team that created “Paw Patrol.” Additionally, Fisher oversaw the inception and launch of Spindo TV, a content incubator on YouTube and producer over 100 animated shorts for the platform.
Before joining Spin Master, Fisher oversaw all creative content for the NFL’s youth strategy as a partner at Brandissimo! There he helped conceive, develop, and launch an innovative online game world where millions of kids could play over a hundred NFL themed games, interact in virtual lands, and engage with teammates and fans around the world.
Throughout his career, Fisher has produced several hundred episodes of animation, animated shorts, online and mobile games, and virtual worlds. He has played an integral role in the creation of global franchises and has worked closely with talented artists and creators to help guide them as they build their shows.
Fisher is passionate about engaging young audiences with high quality content. He lives in Burbank, California with his wife, two sons, two dogs, and anxiety.
