Award-winning visual artist Daniel Malikyar’s AFGHANISTAN, a once-in-a-generation visual record created during a rare window when everyday life across the country could be documented from within, revealing human stories rarely seen beyond images of conflict or crisis, to Roman Korn at teNeues, for publication Spring 2026, by Samantha Haywood at Transatlantic Agency (world).

Daniel Malikyar (b. 1995) is an Afghan-American visual artist working across photography and film. Rooted in diasporic experience, his work offers a keyhole into worlds often unseen, centering everyday life within communities frequently misrepresented in global media. Malikyar’s practice is shaped by long-term, self-initiated projects grounded in human connection, trust, and lived experience.

Alongside his artistic work, Malikyar has directed and produced award-winning projects across film, culture, and media, with work presented internationally across editorial, exhibition, and institutional platforms.
