“Eva’s promotion to full agent is a recognition of her great ability to scout out exciting new voices and shepherd them to domestic and international publishing markets,” says Samantha Haywood, President at the agency. “She has demonstrated her professional talents successfully representing some wonderful new debut literary fiction authors including Tom Froh, Diana Svennes-Smith, Leah Bailly and more.”

Eva will also continue in her dual role as International Rights Coordinator, representing the agency’s Adult Literature list. Eva is currently based out of London and will be attending the London and Frankfurt Book Fairs every year.

Eva began at the Transatlantic Agency nearly four years ago, assisting Samantha Haywood with her list and working closely with authors, including Marissa Stapley, Shani Mootoo, Eliza Reid, Greg Kearney, Emma Knight and others, before moving into an Associate Agent role. Her list now encompasses a wide range of literary and upmarket fiction, with a particular interest in realist narratives with a hint of the absurd, stories with a strong sense of place and atmosphere, and characters that challenge the way we think about human nature and relationships. On the nonfiction side, she’s drawn to personally-informed narrative and hybrid projects examining culture, politics, microhistories  and other facets that bring a fresh angle to a subject. Across her list, she values original voices and writing that both surprises and delights.
