Cartoonist and storyteller Damian Alexander’s OTHER FAMILIES, a follow-up to OTHER BOYS, this graphic memoir focuses on the author as he is raised by his grandparents after the death of his mother, to Robyn Chapman at First Second, with Steve Foxe editing, in an exclusive submission, for publication in summer 2025, by Elizabeth Bennett at Transatlantic Literary Agency (world).
Damian Alexander is a cartoonist and storyteller and the creator of OTHER BOYS (First Second 2021), a graphic memoir based off his viral and award winning autobiographical webcomic. OTHER BOYS received starred reviews from Kirkus and Booklist and was named to several “best of” lists including The Chicago Public Library “Best of the Best” and the Texas Maverick Graphic Novels Reading List. A follow-up memoir, OTHER FAMILIES, has been signed up. Damian grew up in and around Boston and currently resides in Portland, OR.
