Editorial Director Bhavna Chauhan of Doubleday Canada has acquired World English ex-US rights to Maia Caron’s dual timeline historical novel NEVER SAY WE GO LAST, set in 1944 Ukraine and 1972 Salt Spring Island, linking two remarkable women—a famous artist and burn survivor and a Ukrainian resistance fighter—haunted by buried secrets and linked by a KGB operative seeking revenge on Ukrainian soldiers who fought against Russia in WWII. Publication is set for Spring 2024. The deal was arranged by Carolyn Forde at Transatlantic Agency.
