Anton Mueller, Executive Editor of Bloomsbury USA, has acquired world rights to Geoff Dembicki’s first book. Are We Screwed? A Millennial’s Guide to Climate Change keys off 28-year-old Dembicki’s dispatches for Vice, Salon, The Tyee, and others to explain the massive societal shifts Millennials are creating in their response to global warming.
Vancouver-based Geoff Dembicki is a staff reporter for The Tyee, where he writes on energy, climate, and sustainability. His reporting has taken him to emerging 21st-century power centres like San Francisco, New York, Boston, Fort McMurray, South Dakota, Beijing, Calgary, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C. His work has been cited by NPR and the Center for Public Integrity, among others, and he’s been blogged about on the influential media site FishbowlNY. He was awarded a 2012–2013 media fellowship from the Asia-Pacific Foundation of Canada and received a grant from the New York-based Solutions Journalism Network to support the writing of this book.
