Ellen Lee is the daughter of Chinese immigrants and an independent journalist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She currently edits and curates Medium’s #StopAsianHate blog. Her writing has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Wirecutter, The Atlantic, Real Simple and the San Francisco Chronicle, where she was formerly a business and technology reporter. A recipient of a picture book mentorship through the Writing with the Stars contest, she is also the author of a forthcoming book of Mad Libs about the Lunar New Year.
