David Obuchowski is a prolific and acclaimed writer of fiction, long-form essays, and children’s books. Nominated for multiple awards as well as inclusion in prestigious anthologies, his non-fiction has been adapted for film and television, and his short stories have been published in dozens of American and British literary magazines.
A collaboration with Sarah Pedry, the children’s book, HOW BIRDS SLEEP, was published in 2023 by Minerva/Astra Publishing. The duo has presented the book all across the US as well as the UK. It was honored by the National Science Teachers Association & Children’s Book Council as an Outstanding Science Trade Book of 2023, and named among the best books of 2023 by the School Library Journal. A lifelong musician, David has toured internationally and released a wide variety of albums on major and independent labels in the US, and Europe. He lives in Denver with his wife, Sarah, their two children, and a very large dog-like cat.
