Barry Jowett at DCB has acquired Amy Mathers Teen Book Award-winning author Natasha Deen’s middle grade novel A Summer of Dragonflies for publication in the fall of 2025. A Summer of Dragonflies is a road trip story with a touch of magical realism, pitched as The Goldbergs meets National Lampoon’s Summer Vacation. Guppie Persaud is determined to overcome her shyness and win a contest to get cell phones for her whole family as they road trip from Alberta to New York City. Amy Tompkins at Transatlantic Agency represented the author in the deal for North American rights.
