Diane Kerner at Scholastic Canada has acquired award-winning author Carol Matas’ next middle grade novel, Mia & Max, in an exclusive submission. Erin Haggett will edit. In Mia & Max, a Jewish girl and her beloved dog are both in danger as the Nazis rise to power in 1930s Berlin. Publication is scheduled for the fall of 2025. Amy Tompkins at Transatlantic Agency brokered the deal for World English and French North American rights.
