Douglas & McIntyre has acquired North American rights to WIHTIKOW by Joseph Kakwinokanasum, member of the James Smith Cree Nation. A beleaguered writer confronts a century-old Windigo on a mission of cannibalistic vengeance, grapples with his own forsaken Indigenous roots, and fights a cosmic battle for survival. Publication is planned for Fall 2026. The deal was arranged by Carolyn Forde at Transatlantic Agency.
