Lynne Missen at Tundra Books has acquired English rights in North America to Rachelle Delaney’s Ms. Featherstone’s Home for Wayward Wings, and a second untitled Ms. Featherstone book in an exclusive submission. Ms. Featherstone’s Home for Wayward Wings is a middle-grade novel featuring a sooty shearwater bird named Ms. Featherstone who takes up residence in an abandoned house and helps other migrating birds. Anna Bron will illustrate. The first book will publish in the summer of 2027.
Rachelle Delaney is the author of several middle-grade novels, including The Metro Dogs of Moscow, The Circus Dogs of Prague, The Bonaventure Adventures, Clara Voyant, and Alice Fleck’s Recipes for Disaster. Her most recent book, The Big Sting, was shortlisted for the Sunshine Coast Writers and Editors Society Book Award, the Silver Birch Award, the Diamond Willow Award, and the Crime Writers of Canada Awards of Excellent.
