Acclaimed writer and political activist Judy Rebick’s HOW TO BE A TROUBLEMAKER: What I’ve Learned from Sixty Years of Activism, a book for the next generation of activists looking for inspiration and guidance in an unprecedented time, that shares insights from Rebick’s experience fighting for women’s liberation, Indigenous rights, and workers’ rights and against war, neoliberalism, and patriarchy, to Catharine Chen and Brian Lam at Arsenal Pulp Press, for publication Fall 2026, by Samantha Haywood at Transatlantic Agency (World English).

Judy Rebick is one of Canada’s best-known feminists. She was a leader in the battle to legalize abortion in the 1980’s and President of the National Action Committee on the Status of Women, Canada’s largest national women’s group in the 1990’s. As a journalist, Judy was the co-host of a CBC TV debate show and a regular contributor to CBC radio.  She was also the founder and publisher of rabble.ca in 2001, one of North America’s first independent online news sites. A well-known author, Judy has published 7 books, now working on her 8th. Over the past 30 years, Judy has been teaching at several universities and is currently a strategic advisor to the Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce.
