
Transatlantic extends a warm welcome to Whitney Moran!
Whitney Moran brings a rare perspective to her fiction, shaped by her twelve years as managing editor at Nimbus Publishing & Vagrant Press. She is the author of the David Booth Poetry Award–shortlisted picture book I Want to Build a Seahouse, now in its second printing, and the co-author of East Coast Crafted: The Essential Guide to Atlantic Canada’s Beer, Breweries, and Brewpubs. She serves as the vice-president of the Writers’ Federation of Nova Scotia’s Board of Directors and has two picture books forthcoming in 2027. Whitney holds an MA in English Literatures from Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in gender and genre studies. She lives near Peggys Cove, Nova Scotia, with her partner and old English sheepdog, and many books.
