The Transatlantic Agency recently announced that Kate Moody has been promoted from Assistant Agent to the dual role of Associate Literary Agent and Associate Speaker’s Agent.

“Kate has navigated her first year at the agency with real finesse,” said Samantha Haywood, president at the Transatlantic Agency. “I look forward to seeing what she can accomplish in her new role.”

Kate Moody joined Transatlantic Agency in 2025, assisting Samantha Haywood. Prior to this, she worked at the Rights Factory. Kate has a background in events marketing, non-profit work, and holds a degree in criminology and sociology from Western University, as well as a diploma in Special Events Management from George Brown College.

During her time at Transatlantic she shared select clients with Samantha and other senior agents, and will build on this foundation in her new role as Associate Agent, with an emphasis on nonfiction, and Associate Speakers Agent working with Rob Firing.

“Kate has a real eye for great stories and understands what stands out and what needs to be heard,” said Rob Firing, Senior agent, Partner and Director of the Speaker’s Division at the Transatlantic Agency. “Her kind of talent lends itself very well to both author and speaker representation, and I look forward to working more closely with her.”

Congratulations, Kate!
