Candis Green is a Registered Psychotherapist, creator, and host of the podcast MENTAL HEALTH IS HORRIFYING, which is produced in partnership with iHeartRadio Canada.
Her show is a “spooky self care podcast about the mental health benefits of horror,” where she explores how mental health themes are portrayed in our favourite horror movies and beyond. Drawing on archetypes from final girls to horror villains, Candis provides guidance in each episode about how listeners can navigate their own mental health woes.
In 2025, MENTAL HEALTH IS HORRIFYING was the recipient of two Canadian Podcast Awards — Outstanding Health & Fitness Series, and Outstanding Education Series.
She is the owner of psychotherapy practice, Many Moons Therapy, where she incorporates tarot and dream work into her clinical practice to help clients explore fields of psychic terrain.
Candis’ work in progress, HOW TO BE A FINAL GIRL, is a mental health survival guide according to the horror genre, where readers can explore the psychology of their favourite final girls, and draw strength from their ability to survive pretty much anything.
Candis lives in a bat-filled cave in Toronto with her muggle husband and demonic bunny, Honeymoon.
