In a two-book deal, Executive Editor Janice Zawerbny has acquired Canadian English rights, at auction, to THE DREAMS WE REMEMBER, the debut novel by Helen Knott, an author of Dane Zaa, Nehiyaw, Métis, and mixed Euro-descent, and author of the bestselling and critically acclaimed memoirs, IN MY OWN MOCCASINS and BECOMING A MATRIARCH.
Publication is planned for Spring 2028, and the deal was arranged by Carolyn Forde at Transatlantic Agency.
After years of putting her family first, an Indigenous woman, Elizabeth, makes the difficult decision to take a solo trip to Ireland, where she meets and dates three different men. But there is something else occupying her attention too – an increase in the frequency and intensity of her dreams. A revelation about her ancestral gifts is made clear, and as her spiritual pathway reveals itself, it begins to threaten reality as she knows it.
Helen Knott is represented by Carolyn Forde.
Congratulations, Helen!
