Brooke Bridges’s WILD HEALING: WILDCRAFTING FOR SELF-CARE, a hybrid field guide and mental health resource that invites readers to connect with the natural world, discover their ancestral relationship to the land, and cultivate health and resilience through foraging and making herbal remedies with wild plants, to Kristen Hewitt at Storey, for publication in spring 2029, by Samantha Haywood at Transatlantic Literary Agency (world).
Brooke Marie Bridges is a vitalist herbalist, somatic CBT coach, keynote speaker, and the founder of Unearthing Wellness. She approaches the natural world as both teacher and co-regulator, believing that the relationship between human nervous systems and the living earth is not metaphorical but biological, and that restoring that relationship is some of the most important healing work available to us right now.
Brooke draws on Western herbalism and the ancestral plant traditions of her West African and British lineages growing medicinal plants in her own garden and foraging on the land around her. A former Nickelodeon and SAG-AFTRA actress, she spent the last ten years working on farms in roles including farm-to-table chef, seed keeper, CSA manager, and lead facilitator and in the world of mental health, speaking to youth about the importance of understanding what lies beneath the surface. This work informs the living root of everything she teaches.
Brooke is represented by Samantha Haywood at Transatlantic Literary Agency.
Congratulations, Brooke!
