Congratulations to Ron Lightburn, who was awarded the Lillian Shepherd Award for Excellence in Illustration for FRANKENSTINK!: Garbage Gone Bad (Tundra Books). The Lillian Shepherd Award for Excellence, one of fourteen awards given out this year as part of the 2016 Atlantic Book Awards, is granted to an illustrator residing in Atlantic Canada. The winner is awarded a $500 prize funded by the Atlantic Independent Booksellers Association and the Atlantic Provinces Publishers’ Representatives. The award was granted at a gala event at Moncton’s Capitol Theatre in New Brunswick on April 27th, 2016.
