US rights to acclaimed memoirist and newspaper essayist Iain Reid’s haunting debut novel, I’M THINKING OF ENDING THINGS have been sold in a two book deal to Alison Callahan for the new imprint Scout at Simon & Schuster. Reminiscent of high-concept master Jose Saramago with the chilling psychological force of The Shining, the novel follows the story of a young couple on an eerie road trip when a late night detour to a remote school reveals something is disturbingly wrong, and the full story isn’t unlocked until the very last words.
