As 4th of July and the reminder of freedom and independence pass us by, we at Transatlantic note that we support human rights, which we believe includes a woman’s freedom to choose what’s right for her body.
As Justices Breyer, Sotomayor, and Kagan stated in their dissent to the overturning of Roe v. Wade by the US Supreme Court: “After today, young women will come of age with fewer rights than their mothers and grandmothers had…The majority’s refusal to even consider the life-altering consequences of reversing Roe and Casey is a stunning indictment of its decision.”
