Laura Goode is the author of two books, the poetry collection BECOME A NAME (2016) and the young adult novel SISTER MISCHIEF (2011); she co-wrote and produced the feature film Farah Goes Bang, which premiered at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival and won the inaugural Nora Ephron Prize from Tribeca and Vogue.
Her nonfiction has appeared widely in publications including BuzzFeed Reader, The Cut, Catapult, Refinery29, ELLE, Glamour, InStyle, New Republic, and Longreads, and anthologies including SCRATCH: Writers, Money, and the Art of Making a Living.
She received her BA and MFA from Columbia University. She now teaches in the English department and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program at Stanford University, where she leads the student-facing side of Stanford’s Public Humanities Initiative and co-hosts the podcast The Feminist Present.
Laura is currently working on a lyric memoir about the reverberations across her life when, in 2019, the man who sexually assaulted her in college donated $100 to the Walk Against Rape she was fundraising for, alongside further projects across multiple genres.
