Sanni McCandless Honnold is a coach, author, and rock climber whose work sits at the intersection of life design and the outdoors. After beginning her career at a tech startup in Seattle, she left the traditional path to spend a year climbing and adventuring around the world, an experience that shaped both her life and philosophy towards it. She is now an award-winning, certified life coach who has guided hundreds of clients through major transitions, helping them build more intentional, value-driven lives rooted in nature. Her coaching is grounded in “Mosaic Theory,” a framework that encourages people to move away from a single, fixed path and instead build their lives as a dynamic collection of evolving eras. Sanni is also the co-founder of Outwild, a retreat series and community designed to help people reconnect with the outdoors and reimagine how they live and work. Sanni has been featured on major podcasts, including The Tony Robbins Podcast, and has worked with brands like Affirm, Free People, Nature Valley, and AllTrails. She is the author of Mosaic Theory: How to Craft a Life of Many Summits and the children’s book Be A Mountain, and lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband, climber Alex Honnold, and their two daughters.

Sanni’s debut inspirational adult work of non-fiction, Mosaic Theory: How to Craft a Life of Many Summits, with Little, Brown Spark, introduces a vibrant, new framework: trade society’s relentless insistence on one single, inherently unreachable peak to each life, for a life of multitudes and greater meaning. Sanni’s debut children’s book, Be a Mountain, with Macmillan’s Godwin Books, tells an empowering story of one young girl’s first–child appropriate–solo climb.

Speaking Topics

The Eras Tour

Life isn’t one long climb toward a single summit, followed by a slow slide down the other side. It’s a mosaic of eras, each as meaningful as the last. In this talk, we’ll unpack the Single-Peak Script, the story society hands us that keeps us waiting for “real life” to start, and explore a new framework for living in deliberate, meaningful chapters. When we understand where we’ve been and where we are, we can intentionally shape the many summits still ahead.

The Adventure Prescription

Modern life is dysregulating us, and nature is one of the best ways back. Our nervous systems are starving for the world that built them. In this talk, we’ll explore why time outside changes us, and why nature is an unparalleled partner for reflecting, resetting, and dreaming up what comes next. Leave with a plan in place for a big adventure; it may just change the entire course of your life.

The Power of Mindset

In every moment, we get to choose: be the believer, or be the observer. This talk explores how labeling our thoughts loosens their grip, how naming our fears shrinks them, and how building a relationship with our own minds is the first step out of old ruts and toward a version of success that we actually want.
